The Tiffin-Seneca Public Library is to host “Bouncing Babies” on Thursdays, January 10, 17, 24, and 31 at 11 a.m., as well as a new evening session on Tuesday, January 15 in the Frost Kalnow Room. The program will feature stories, rhymes, songs, and finger plays for parents or caregivers and babies, age birth to 18 months olds. The Alzheimer’s Support Group at St. Francis Home meets the second Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. in the multipurpose room, 182 St. Francis Ave., Tiffin. The group’s purpose is to provide educational and social opportunities and an avenue for group-sharing for persons, who are coping with a loved one with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementia. By sharing and learning from other’s experiences, they find it easier to work through issues and make decisions regarding their loved one. Our Lady of the Pines Retreat Center is holding open interviews for kitchen positions and supplemental housekeeping support. Open interview times are scheduled for Tuesday, January 8, 2019 from Noon to 6:00 P.M. and Thursday, January 10, 2019 from 10:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. Kitchen positions include a shift lead cook and kitchen prep support, cooking meals for retreat groups staying in the Retreat Center. Hours are primarily weekends. Supplemental housekeeping supports main housekeeper in various areas in the Retreat Center, hours will flex based on need. These positions are a great way to earn extra income! The Tiffin-Seneca Public Library is to host “Get Crafty @ Your Library with the Seneca Re-Ads” on Friday, January 11th at 10:30 a.m. in the Frost Kalnow Room. Every month, workers from Seneca Re-Ads will teach participants how to make a new craft. January’s craft will be a stuffed sock snowman. The Sandusky River Coon Hunters are to host an All-You-Care-To-Eat Fish Fry on Saturday, January 12th, at 5 – 7:30 p.m., next to Walnut Grove Campgrounds, 7325 S Township Rd 131, Tiffin. Dinners cost $8 for adults and $4 for children under 12.
