The Attica Knights of Columbus will be serving an All-You-Care-To-Eat Fish Fry or a Chicken Tenders Dinner, Friday, January 5, 2018 at the K of C Hall, 11 Heyman Drive, Attica, from 5 to 7 p.m. The dinner includes baked potato or french fries, coleslaw, applesauce, bread, and a drink. Adults are $10 and children are $6 with children under 4 years being free.
Seneca County Parks is to host Nature Walk Bird Talk on Saturday, January 6 at 8 a.m. at the Garlo Heritage Nature Preserve, Bloomville. This walk last about 1 and a half hours and qualifies for the Walking Stick Program. Bring binoculars and cameras as you walk the trails looking and listening to the sights and sounds of nature. Seneca County Parks is to host Family Fun Event – Snowy Day on Saturday, January 6 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Garlo Heritage Nature Preserve, Bloomville. This event is fun for the whole family. Come and explore the nature preserve with snow related activities inside and out. Learn about snow, how it’s made, make your own snowball, and have a snowball fight. The Tiffin-Seneca Public Library’s Junior Department will host a Lego Contest on Saturday, January 6th at 1 p.m. in the Frost Kalnow Room. Children, ages 4 and up, are encouraged to create an original Lego creation in advance of the competition to be judged the of the event. Registration will be until January 5th, the day before the event. Friends and family are encouraged to come and vote the day of the contest. Seneca County Parks is to host Toddler Trot-Winter Walk on Tuesday, January, 9th at 4 p.m. at Forrest Nature Preserve, Tiffin. This event is for ages 18 to 36 months with adult companion. The Seneca County General Health District will be sponsoring a Senior Health Check on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at the Allen Eiry Center from 9:30-11:15 a.m. for anyone age 60 or over. The Seneca Radio Club will be offering an introductory Technician License class this January. Classes will run on Wednesday evenings beginning January 10th and end with the License Exam on March 28th. Classes normally run from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m at the Public Safety Building at the Seneca County Fair Grounds. The Teen Department at the Tiffin-Seneca Public Library is to host “Craftastic” for teens on Thursday, January 11th from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m. in the Frost Kalnow Room. Teens, grades 6 through 12, will be creating and a tote bag made from recycled t-shirts. All materials will be provided. However, teens are invited to bring their own t-shirt, if they wish.
